Can Ayurveda Treat Kidney Cancer? Let’s Find Out!

Kidneys are a fist-sized reddish-brown organ that performs some of the vital functions. Located just above the waist, kidneys are responsible for filtering out all kinds of toxins and waste products from our body through the urethra. Kidneys filter our blood that comes through blood vessels and produces required hormones that help in controlling blood pressure. These bean-shaped organs also produce red blood cells and perform several other functions.

Despite being such an important organ of human anatomy, many people all over the world are suffering from kidney problems. Some of these problems are life-threatening as well. Among all those problems, the one we will discuss today is Kidney Cancer. Though allopathic and homeopathic doctors give up on patients, Kidney Cancer treatment in Ayurveda has made a remarkable name. Medical professionals worldwide have accepted that kidney treatment can be used to cure kidney cancer. Let us understand how!

What Is Kidney Cancer?

Kidney Cancer, also known as Renal Cancer, is a condition when the cells grow uncontrollably beyond the limit. This sudden and uncontrollable increase in the number of cells forms tumors that are life-threatening. There is no particular type of kidney cancer. It occurs in different forms depending on the nature of the condition. If kidney cancer is detected early, it can be cured. However, if it is not removed in time, it can spread to other organs thereby deteriorating the condition further.

Types of Kidney Cancer

In this section of the article, you will get to know about different types of cancers. Irrespective of the type of kidney cancer, reports suggest that 72% of those diagnosed with it live for a year or so. As mentioned above, it does not matter what type of cancer is, if it is not treated in its early stages it will further damage more organs and deteriorate the condition further. Here's a list of the most common kidney cancers:

  • Renal Cell Carcinoma: It is one of the most common types of kidney cancer as it affects the most number of people. This cancer results in the most painful and severe tumors that might be unbearable for some patients.

  • Transitional Cell Carcinomas: Also known as urothelial carcinomas, this cancer starts developing in the area of the kidney responsible for collecting urine and bringing its filtered form to the bladder. This cancer is similar to bladder cancer and their treatment is usually the same.

  • Wilms Tumor: Around 5% of Kidney Cancers are Wilms Tumour. This type of cancer hardly occurs in adults as it is mostly found in children.

  • Renal Sarcoma: A rare type of kidney cancer, Renal Sarcoma affects the complete kidney and might result in kidney failure as it begins with the kidney's tissues.

  • Benign Tumors: This cancer is a bit different than others. It does not spread to other parts of the body but can grow in the same region and result in more problems.

How Does Kidney Cancer Spread (Stages)?

Stage 1: Cancer causes tumors in the kidneys

Stage 2: Cancer tears kidney tissues and spreads to the adrenal gland

Stage 3: Cancer spreads to lymph nodes and blood vessels

Stage 4: Cancer spreads to other organs like Lungs, Liver, etc.

Ayurveda has proved that if the patients are able to witness symptoms in the initial stages of Kidney Cancer, taking kidney cancer treatment in Ayurveda can help them recover from it and revive their kidneys. However, even if the patient is in the last stages of Kidney Cancer, Ayurveda can successfully cure by bringing in some major changes in the Ahar (diet) and Vihar (lifestyle) of the kidney cancer patient.

Kidney Cancer Treatment in Ayurveda

Ayurvedic experts say that the human body consists of three major elements that are referred to as Doshas. These are:

  • Vata Dosha: It consists of elements like Air and Space that are known for allowing movement.

  • Pitta Dosha: It consists of elements like Fire and Water that are known for bringing changes in digestion and metabolism.

  • Kapha Dosha: It consists of elements like Water and Earth that give us a solid structure to stand on.

As per Ayurveda, if these doshas work in harmony, nothing could happen to our bodies. This is what Kidney cancer treatment in Ayurveda stands for. With therapies like massage and aromatherapy, Ayurveda promises to bring a significant change in the patients suffering from Kidney cancer. However, Ayurveda follows a strict policy where patients have to transform the way they live.

As mentioned above, Ayurveda required all the kidney patients to bring a change in their ahar and vihar that ultimately leads to them a healthy and revived kidney.
